Rolls, Rolls, Rolls The Best and Easiest Ever

They were so good

HOT ROLLS

Bake at 350 - 400 degrees until golden brown

1 1/2 cups warm water
1/4 cup veg. oil
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup dried (powdered) milk---she said you could use regular milk, but I have not tried it yet
1 teaspoon salt
1 packages Red star yeast or any fast acting yeast

Mix all ingredients until yeast is dissolved

Add 1 egg --slightly beaten
4 cups flour---no more

Mix well and cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour
**See my note for update**
Pour out on well floured surface...sprinkle with flour and form into a rectangle --use only enough flour so it will not stick to your hands or surface.  Try not to add to much flour.  Cut out like biscuits.  Spray pan and gently lay in pan...let rise ...the thicker you roll your dough, the higher the roll. Note: ( Start with about a 1/2 inch depth.  Let rise for 15 to 20 minutes.  Next time you can adjust the thickness to your taste.  They will puff some when you cook them.)
** This time I put some flour on a dinner plate...cut off a piece of dough the size of a small fist ..dusted with flour and shaped into a roll.  The dough is very soft and sticky, but don't add any more flour than you need too.

  1. I was thinking of making Angel Biscuits soon, but maybe I'll have to try these!
