Pretty little Johnny Jump Up or Violas

Yes, I bought the plant early this spring.  I forgot to water it after I set it out in our clay soil..it kind of died down to the ground.  I had such hopes that it would seed and spread.  Well, after a rough go, it has come back and made a small pretty little plant.  But you know, I don't see any seed pods...So far, all the dying blooms are seedless.  What gives?  Maybe with time.
