The sun was bright and light
They were taking flight
But just had to stop
For one more bite.
Now the wind is blowing
And there is even a little snow
The sun is not bright
And they have taken flight
Where did they go?
Does anyone know?
They may be a common butterfly
But their wings behold the color of fall
They land upon the last blooms of summer
To return never again as they are.
