Sourdough (Yeast) Biscuits

We had these today at lunch....yum, yum

Sourdough Yeast Biscuits
1 cup warm water                              3 Tbsp. baking powder
2 pkg yeast                                         1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp sugar                                       1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 cup oil                                           7 cups flour
2 cups buttermilk

Mix in order given.  Cover tightly and store in refrigerator.  Roll out required amount.  Cut and bake at 450 degrees for 12 minutes or until brown in greased pans.  Not necessary to let rise.  Will keep in refrigerator several days.

  1. This looks really similar to the Angel Biscuits! Buttermilk really is a nice ingredient--I have some muffins recipes that are delicious because of the buttermilk! AC
