Things should be safe up one the porch, right? Well, that is not necessarily true. I had planted two strawberry plants in a container..then decided that they were not doing to well, so I planted some jalapeno seeds. I have a "want" for jalapenos since I started making jalapeno poppers. Hmmmmm Anyway, lots of peppers came up, but I was hard hearted and saved only three. Every day or so, I would see a leaf of one of the strawberries on the porch, or just dangling from the plant. Then the bottom leaves started missing from one my beautiful pepper plant. Bugs? I dusted. That did not seem to help. Deer dear? I think not. I think they would have bitten off the tops. So guess who gets the blame...the rabbits. The reason they are getting the blame? I saw two of them frolicking on the porch, so why not blame them. How can I not blame them? Do I need to cage my plants on the porch?! I almost refuse to cage my plants on the porch.!..Maybe I can come up with another safety plan for the peppers.
But I can understand the rabbits and deer. Everything is dry now and not very appetizing -- at least I would not want to eat it...I mean when you have a nice juicy plant versus a dry stalk of grass.. which would you choose?
It is a beautiful morning. The hills are still black and the eastern sky is a lazy blue with just a hint of yellow...almost a greenish hue. The sun is working at coming up. The deer will be coming in for their morning feed and the birds will be singing -- "How Great is Our God"-- Yesterday, I listened to that song over and over. I will probably do that again today. It helps one look up.
I think I have decided on a painting for over the sofa. The cactus just didn't do the job. Bla Bla Bla We will see how it turns out. I hope to work on it some today.
Have a blessed day and look up from your troubles.
Those poor rabbits just want something to eat!! You just need to get the bush big enough so that they only eat the bottom leaves and the top leaves stay on the bush!! Haha! AC
