Ranger Cookies

1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup coconut
3/4 to 1 cups cranberries, raisins, OR chopped dates
1 cup chopped nuts


Mix shortening, both sugars and eggs together.
Add other ingredients
Mix well and roll into small balls.

Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes....I bake for 12 minutes for a softer.

This is the recipe my mom always made when she did cookies.
