Texas Pineapple Cacti

This is one of my local cacti...the ones I find at Walmart almost always say protect from frost...well really!  I want on that can stand the weather in the Edwards Plateau.  And this one can.  What a bloom! I even have them in containers and they stayed out all winter.

In case you want to know, here is the big name for it....Coryphantha sulcatai.  One web site called it a Coryphantha palmeri ..A common name is Pineapple Cactus
