Dear Deer Update

They are in trouble!  I gave her a good talking to this morning, but she just looked at me with doe eyes.  She didn't look sad at all.  At All!.

The Red Yucca was blooming...for the first time. Yesterday  I got to look at it up close to see these beautiful little pink flowers.  Oh the hummingbirds will love these, I thought.  I was going to take pictures today, but when I went out this morning, the first thing I noticed...every little bloom had been nipped off.  I had put a wire ring around it, had tied a grocery bag to the top of the wire, and had tied up the bloom stalk so it would not lean over the fence, but I think she stood on tippy toes, leaned way over and stretched her neck really far...one bit led to another....yum yum.

But all is not lost...there is another bloom stalk shooting up.  I will just need to put in place more armor.
