African Violets from Yesteryears

I am thinking I may have a good window for African Violets. I had them years ago and I really liked the challenge of growing them.  I don't think they are so hard to grow if you know what they like and don't like.  At first, I would water to much causing them to rot...yep, rot.  Then I would not water them enough causing them to starve for water...dehydrate.  There were a few years that were pretty good...I didn't forget them and they had just enough water. The above picture must be one of the good years.
