Texas Purple Sage now in the Hills

Did I tell you...while visiting my daughter, I found 2 Texas Purple Sage bushes on sale...that just makes it better...a sale...so how could I not buy them.  Anyway, no blooms were on them when I got them home, but they looked healthy.  I sat them on the porch and gave them a nice drink.  Since I brought them home, it has rained on them and the wind has blown them over twice.  Since it is muddy out where I want to plant them, they are still sitting on the porch.  But there is one difference...one of the plants is now covered with blooms.  A hummingbird was checking them out this morning, so I now know that they are liked by the hummingbirds.  I have never  before looked at the blooms up close.  They are beautiful, just beautiful.
Here is a picture from one of my plants...if it will bloom within a week of getting some water, it is a keeper. OH I hope the dear deer don't eat them down to the bark.

WHAT A COLOR!
