Off the Highway

Makes a good planter for my celery plant
We are not that far off the highway, but far enough so that it takes 45 minutes or 1 1/2 hours to get to the nearest Walmart. My favorite stores in Texas are Walmart, HEB, and Lowe's.  So at least once a month we drive 1 1/2 hours so I can shop at all three.  The car is full when we finally make it home.  I am learning to make list so I don't forget the important things like milk, bread, and Blue Bell.  Ahhh Blue Bell---what is your favorite flavor?

I am trying the suggestion about growing a new celery plant from the bottom end of a store bought one...it is doing great.  I first rooted it in a cup of water and when it had two roots showing, I put it into dirt.  It has taken about 3 weeks to begin looking like a stalk of celery...I wonder if I can cut the tall stems and it will keep putting out new growth.  Many times, I don't need that much celery.
